Terms & Conditions for Gidran Travel In Style

1. DEFINITIONS
1.1 In these Terms and Conditions the following expressions shall have the following meanings save where the context otherwise requires:
1.1.1 “Agreed Pick-Up Point” the appointed place for You to be picked up by the Supplier as set out in the Details.
1.1.2 “Agreed Time” the appointed date and time for You to be picked up by the Supplier as set out in the Details.
1.1.3 “Booking” the booking of a Minicab effected via this Website for undertaking Trips. Bookings can be made for single Trips, return Trips or split Trips.
1.1.4 “Supplier” the Private Hire Operator, Chauffeur Service Provider, Minibus, Coach company or transport provider with whom You place the Booking and who is responsible for providing the transport service for the Trip.
1.1.5 “Suppliers T&C” the terms and conditions of the Supplier which in addition to these Terms govern the Booking and Trip.
1.1.6 “Card” the credit, debit or charge card You use when making the Booking.
1.1.7 “Cash” the payment You make for the Fare to the Supplier and/or its driver.
1.1.8 “Bacs” the payment you make via a bank transfer for the Fare to the Supplier and/or its driver.
1.1.9 “Card Costs” are the charges due to the credit card companies used by You to pay for the Trip.
1.1.10 “Details” the details which You must provide upon making a Booking including pick-up date and time, pick-up and drop-off addresses and Your Personal Data.
1.1.11 “Fare” the fee paid by You for the Quote You accept.
1.1.12 “Goods” any goods carried in a vehicle which are booked via this Website.
1.1.13 “Trip” the journey You wish to make from the pick-up address to the drop-off address provided by You.
1.1.14 “Licensing Authority” any regional or national licensing authority responsible for licensing the operation of taxi, minicab, minibus or coach companies.
1.1.15 “Particular Requirements” any specific requirements You may have relating to disabled facilities, the gender of the driver or otherwise.
1.1.16 “Passenger” any passenger carried in a Minicab which is booked via this Website.
1.1.17 “Personal Data” the details which You provide regarding Your physical and email addresses, telephone number and card details.
1.1.18 “Quote” a fixed price quote that You receive via the Website for the Trip.
1.1.19 “Terms” these terms and conditions between Gidran Travel in Style and You.
1.1.20 “You” means the person who enters Details.
1.1.21 “Minicab” is a Private Hire Vehicle made available for pre-booked Trips, in compliance with the requirements of relevant Licensing Authorities.
1.1.22 The clause headings and any other headings are inserted for convenience only and shall not affect the construction of these Terms.
 
2. GENERAL
2.1 If You book a chauffeur service, private hire vehicle, taxi, minicab, minibus or coach via this Website, You agree to the terms below as the exclusive basis which governs such booking by ticking the “I agree to the Gidran Travel in Style Terms and Conditions”. If You are booking on behalf of someone else, by clicking “I agree to the Terms & Conditions”, You are representing that You have their authority to accept these terms and conditions on their behalf.
2.2 Deviations from these Terms are only valid if and to the extent that these are confirmed explicitly and in writing by Gidran Travel in Style.
2.3 Should any provision of these Terms be pronounced invalid or in violation of public order or law by a competent authority, then only the provision in question will be void, but the rest of these Terms will remain fully in effect. In place of the invalid provision, a provision will apply that best reflects the intention of the parties.
2.4 Gidran Travel in Style may provide transport services directly or through approved partner operators or subcontracted drivers. In such cases, the transport service will be carried out by the relevant licensed operator responsible for the Trip.
2.5 Where partner operators or subcontracted drivers are used to provide the transport service, Gidran Travel in Style will ensure that all suppliers meet appropriate licensing, insurance and regulatory requirements applicable to private hire and chauffeur services.
 
3. USE OF WEBSITE
3.1 In making a Booking via this Website You must provide accurate Details and are responsible for any failure to do so.
3.2 You hereby warrant to Gidran Travel in Style that You are at least eighteen years of age and legally able to make the Booking.
3.3 Gidran Travel in Style reserves the right to refuse any Booking which You wish to make and to cancel any Booking You have made where necessary. In such cases, any payment made by You will be refunded in full unless the cancellation results from a breach of these Terms.
3.4 Your Details and data relating to Your use of the Website will be recorded by Gidran Travel in Style, but Your Personal Data shall not, subject to the provisions of the Privacy Policy and Clause 3.5 below, be disclosed to third parties other than where necessary for the provision of the services.
3.5 The Website may send a small file to Your computer when You visit the Website. This “cookie” will enable Gidran Travel in Style to track Your behaviour on the Website and to identify particular areas of interest so as to enhance Your future visits to the Website. The cookie will not enable Gidran Travel in Style to identify You personally and will not be used otherwise than in relation to this Website. You can set Your computer browser to reject cookies, but this may prevent the use of certain parts of the Website. Gidran Travel in Style may disclose Your Personal Data if compelled to do so by law or at the request of a law enforcement agency or governmental authority.
 
4. BOOKINGS
4.1 When You enter the details of the Trip, Gidran Travel in Style will endeavour to provide You via the Website with a Quote for the requested service based on the information provided by You at the time of making Your Booking.
4.2 It is Your responsibility to ensure that Your Details and Trip information are correct and accurate including, but not limited to, selecting a vehicle suitable for Your luggage requirements, providing the correct pick-up and drop-off address, correct date and time for the journey, correct customer name, valid email address and valid telephone number. If the Trip details are inaccurate or incomplete, additional charges may apply and a refund may not be due.
4.3 In the event You need to amend or correct a Booking, You must contact Gidran Travel in Style directly. Amendments may be subject to an administration fee and any difference in price between the original Booking and the amended service.
4.4 Where a Booking is fulfilled by a partner operator or subcontracted driver, the service will still be carried out under the standards required by Gidran Travel in Style, and the supplier must comply with all relevant licensing and regulatory requirements.
4.5 If You have any Particular Requirements, including accessibility requirements or specific vehicle requests, You must inform Gidran Travel in Style at the time of Booking. While every effort will be made to accommodate such requests, they cannot always be guaranteed.
4.6 Gidran Travel in Style cannot guarantee that every vehicle will accommodate all Particular Requirements. If You require specific transport arrangements, You should ensure these requirements are clearly stated at the time of Booking.
4.7 Gidran Travel in Style reserves the right to correct typographical errors or pricing mistakes that may appear on the Website. If such an error occurs and You choose not to proceed with the Booking, any monies already paid by You will be refunded in full.
4.8 In order to fulfil a Booking, Gidran Travel in Style may allocate the Trip to an approved partner operator or subcontracted driver where necessary to ensure the service is provided as booked.
4.9 Gidran Travel in Style reserves the right to change the type of vehicle booked where necessary due to availability or operational reasons. In such cases, an alternative vehicle of similar or higher class will be provided where possible.
 
5. PAYMENT
5.1 When booking with the “Pay by Card” option, You agree to pay the Fare at the time You make Your Booking. Gidran Travel in Style is entitled to collect all monies due for the booked Trip at the time of booking.
5.2 When paying by Card, You authorise Gidran Travel in Style to use the payment authorisation provided during booking to process payment for the Fare and any agreed amendments to Your Booking. Gidran Travel in Style does not store Your full card details.
5.3 When booking with the “Pay by Cash” option, You agree to pay the Fare directly to the driver at the end of the journey. When booking with the “BACS” option, You agree to pay the Fare to the nominated bank account of Gidran Travel in Style.
5.4 Once You have confirmed Your Booking on the payment screen, it cannot be cancelled or changed except in accordance with Clause 7 (Cancellation and Refunds) of these Terms.
5.5 If paying by Card, and Your Card payment is refused by Your Card issuer for whatever reason, Gidran Travel in Style will not be able to fulfil Your Booking.
5.6 Gidran Travel in Style will provide You with a receipt for Payment by email to the email address provided at the time of Booking.
5.7 Payment does not cover any extra requirements You request, such as additional stops, waiting time beyond the included allowance, child seats or additional luggage requiring a larger vehicle. These may incur additional charges which must be paid directly to the driver or to Gidran Travel in Style.
5.8 In the event that the journey deviates significantly from the route entered at the time of Booking, additional charges may apply.
 
6. INSURANCE
6.1 Neither Gidran Travel in Style nor its drivers or partner operators are responsible to You for any damage to, or loss of, any luggage or goods carried during the Trip. It is Your responsibility to ensure that any valuable items or goods are appropriately insured.
6.2 All vehicles used for the provision of transport services arranged by Gidran Travel in Style are required to maintain valid motor insurance and any other insurance required by law for the operation of private hire or chauffeur services.
6.3 Gidran Travel in Style shall not be responsible for any loss, damage or delay caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control including, but not limited to, traffic congestion, road closures, weather conditions, accidents or other unforeseen events.
6.4 Passengers are responsible for ensuring that their luggage and personal belongings are safely loaded into and removed from the vehicle. Gidran Travel in Style cannot accept responsibility for items left in the vehicle after the completion of the Trip.
 
7. CANCELLATION OF BOOKINGS AND REFUNDS
7.1 Cancellation requests must be made through the Website or by contacting Gidran Travel in Style directly. All cancellations must be confirmed by email or through the booking system to be considered valid.
7.2 Refunds will be issued depending on the notice period given before the scheduled journey time:
• If the booking is cancelled more than 24 hours before the scheduled journey time, a full refund (100%) of the booking value will be issued.
• If the booking is cancelled between 12 hours and 24 hours before the scheduled journey time, 50% of the booking value will be refunded.
• If the booking is cancelled within 12 hours of the scheduled journey time, the full booking amount will be charged and no refund will be issued.
7.3 If the passenger fails to appear at the agreed pick-up location within 15 minutes of the scheduled pick-up time, the booking may be treated as a no-show, and the full Fare will be charged.
7.4 If the driver fails to arrive at the agreed pick-up location within a reasonable time and the passenger decides not to proceed with the Trip, the passenger may be entitled to a full refund.
7.5 Refunds for pre-paid bookings will be issued to the original payment method used during booking.
7.6 If incorrect booking details are provided by the passenger, including but not limited to incorrect pick-up address, incorrect date or time, or incorrect contact information, Gidran Travel in Style reserves the right to treat the booking as a no-show and no refund will be issued.
 
8. WARRANTY AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
8.1 Gidran Travel in Style will make every reasonable effort to ensure that all transportation services are provided in a professional, safe, and timely manner.
8.2 While every effort is made to ensure punctuality, Gidran Travel in Style shall not be held responsible for delays caused by circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to traffic congestion, road accidents, weather conditions, road closures, mechanical breakdowns, or other unforeseen events.
8.3 Estimated journey times provided on the Website or by our booking system are for guidance only and may vary depending on traffic conditions, weather, and other factors beyond our control.
8.4 Gidran Travel in Style shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, including but not limited to loss of business, missed flights, missed appointments, loss of revenue, or other financial losses resulting from delays or interruptions in service.
8.5 Passengers are responsible for allowing sufficient time for their journey, particularly when travelling to airports, train stations, or important appointments.
8.6 Gidran Travel in Style shall not be responsible for any loss or damage to personal belongings left unattended in the vehicle. Passengers are responsible for ensuring that all personal items are collected before leaving the vehicle.
8.7 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence where such limitation is not permitted under applicable law.
8.8 Our total liability for any claim relating to the services provided shall not exceed the total value of the booking in question.
 
9. PASSENGER BEHAVIOUR
9.1 Gidran Travel in Style reserves the right to refuse service or terminate a journey if the behaviour of any passenger is considered unsafe, abusive, disruptive, or poses a risk to the driver, vehicle, or other passengers.
9.2 Passengers must behave in a respectful and responsible manner at all times during the journey. Any behaviour that causes damage to the vehicle, endangers safety, or interferes with the driver’s ability to operate the vehicle safely will not be tolerated.
9.3 Gidran Travel in Style reserves the right to refuse carriage to any passenger who appears to be under the excessive influence of alcohol or drugs and whose condition may pose a safety risk.
9.4 Smoking, vaping, or the use of illegal substances is strictly prohibited in all vehicles operated by Gidran Travel in Style.
9.5 Passengers are responsible for any damage caused to the vehicle by themselves or members of their party. The cost of repair or cleaning required as a result of such damage may be charged to the passenger who made the booking.
9.6 In the event that a journey is terminated due to passenger misconduct, the full Fare will remain payable and no refund will be issued.
9.7 If the vehicle requires professional cleaning due to passenger behaviour (including sickness or excessive mess), a cleaning fee may be charged to the passenger who made the booking.
 
10. LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS
10.1 Gidran Travel in Style shall not undertake the carriage or delivery of the following items in its vehicles:
• money, securities, antiques, precious metals, jewellery, or any items of exceptional value
• hazardous, dangerous, inflammable, explosive, illegal or otherwise prohibited substances
• any goods or items that may deteriorate or cause damage during transit
Passengers remain fully responsible for all items they bring into the vehicle.
10.2 Gidran Travel in Style shall not be liable for loss or damage to any personal property or goods transported in the vehicle unless such loss or damage is directly caused by proven negligence.
10.3 Without prejudice to clause 10.2, Gidran Travel in Style shall not in any circumstances be liable for:
• consequential loss (including loss of profit, revenue or business opportunities)
• damage to fragile items including but not limited to glass, electronic equipment, luggage contents or other delicate belongings
10.4 Gidran Travel in Style shall not be liable for any loss, delay, or damage caused directly or indirectly by circumstances beyond its control including but not limited to:
• vehicle breakdown or mechanical failure
• road accidents or traffic delays
• severe weather conditions
• road closures or diversions
• strikes or labour disputes
• government restrictions or regulatory actions
• acts of terrorism, war, civil unrest or riots
• natural disasters including floods or other force majeure events
10.5 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence where such limitation is not permitted under applicable law.
10.6 By using the Website and making a booking, you agree that these Terms and Conditions govern the booking and take precedence over any other terms unless otherwise agreed in writing by Gidran Travel in Style.
 
11. DISPUTES
11.1 If you have any complaint regarding the service provided by Gidran Travel in Style, you agree to contact us directly by email or telephone within 24 hours of the completion of the journey so that we can investigate and attempt to resolve the matter promptly.
11.2 If the issue cannot be resolved immediately, you may submit a formal complaint by contacting us via the Contact page on the Website or by email. Complaints should be submitted within 72 hours of the journey time.
11.3 Gidran Travel in Style will review all complaints and will make reasonable efforts to resolve disputes in a fair and timely manner.
11.4 If a dispute cannot be resolved amicably, the matter may be referred to mediation or to the appropriate legal authorities in accordance with the governing law specified in these Terms and Conditions.
 
12. PRIVACY POLICY
12.1 Gidran Travel in Style is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. Any personal information collected through the Website or during the booking process will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).
12.2 When you make a booking through our Website, we may collect personal information including but not limited to your name, telephone number, email address, pick-up and drop-off addresses, and payment details.
12.3 This information is collected solely for the purpose of processing and managing your booking, communicating with you regarding your journey, and providing the services requested.
12.4 Gidran Travel in Style will not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties except where necessary to complete your booking, comply with legal obligations, or where required by law.
12.5 Payment information provided during the booking process is processed securely through authorised payment providers. Gidran Travel in Style does not store full credit or debit card details.
12.6 We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse.
12.7 You have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you and may request correction or deletion of such information where legally permitted.
12.8 By using the Website and making a booking, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in this Privacy Policy.
 
13. MISCELLANEOUS
13.1 These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between you and Gidran Travel in Style regarding the services provided through the Website and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
13.2 If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
13.3 Failure by Gidran Travel in Style to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not be considered a waiver of that right or provision.
13.4 All notices or communications relating to bookings, complaints, or these Terms should be submitted through the contact details provided on the Website or via the official company email address.
13.5 These Terms and Conditions apply to all bookings made through the Website and shall take precedence over any other terms unless otherwise agreed in writing by Gidran Travel in Style.
13.6 These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
