Affiliate Tracking & Cookie Notice

1. What Affiliate tracking does

When someone follows an approved Gidran Affiliate link containing a referral identifier, Gidran may store a first-party referral identifier in the visitor's browser. Its purpose is to remember which Affiliate introduced the visitor so an eligible later booking can be attributed correctly.

2. Standard duration

The standard Affiliate attribution period is 30 days, unless a different period applies to a particular Affiliate or campaign. A short anti-duplication record may also be used to avoid counting repeated visits as multiple clicks.

3. Information involved

Referral tracking may involve the Affiliate identifier/code, date/time of referral, attribution status and technical information necessary to operate and secure the referral process. The Affiliate dashboard does not expose passenger names, email addresses or telephone numbers.

4. Booking codes

A customer may also enter or use a valid Affiliate code during booking. Where the code is accepted by the booking system, it may be used to attribute the booking to the relevant Affiliate even where browser referral information is unavailable.

5. Cookie choices and consent

Gidran applies UK rules on cookies and similar technologies. Where consent is legally required for a particular tracking technology, it should not be set until the required consent has been obtained. Browser settings or consent choices may prevent or remove referral tracking, which can mean that an Affiliate referral cannot be attributed automatically.

6. No guaranteed attribution

Attribution may be unavailable where cookies/storage are blocked or deleted, the referral period expires, a different valid referral or promotion takes priority, or the booking is not eligible under the Affiliate Terms.

7. Fraud prevention

We may use limited technical records to detect repeated, artificial or manipulated referrals and protect the Programme against fraud and abuse.
